Example:
I had heard that Sally had been in a sour mood lately, so surprisingly, when we met for coffee, she was her usual jocund self.

thankyou......i just used the word to comment on one of my fav.blogger....she was sad bcoz of her fathers illness.. TODAY after a long time she was in her JOCUND SELF.
